My goal for this website continues to be a sacred space where I can share what I have learned in my spiritual growth and ministry. I was watching the Netflix movie, Matthew, and reading along in my Bible. When I read Matthew 8; 24-27, I understood what to write in my blog. Many of Jesus' teachings are correct, even when placed against the madness of today's events. Take a look at verses from Matthew 8: 24-27: 24) "Anyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like the wise man who built his house on rock. 25) When the rainy season set in, the torrents came, and the winds blew and buffeted his house. It did not collapse; it had been solidly on rock. 26) Anyone who hears my words but does not put them into pratie is like the foolish man who built his house on sandy ground. 27) The rains fell, the torrents came, the winds blew, and lashed against his house. It collapsed under all this and was completely ruined. "
The parable Jesus is teaching in these scripture verses applies to all areas of our life - you, your family, friendships, leadership in our towns, cities, and our country. If your foundation is not on God's truth, you have put time and effort into a fault sense of security. Your life is susceptible to the latest and greatest idea or, dear, I say, the false teaching that struts itself in front of your senses. On any given day, the mob will tell you what is in or out and what you should or should not be doing. Do not be swayed. Truth never changes.
